League night without the clipboard
The part of league I dislike is not shooting. It is the clipboard at the end: collecting paper, squinting at handwriting, typing names into a sheet while everyone wants to load the truck.
On this site a club indoor league is 6 weeks for Indoor 300, 12 weeks for Vegas (first two practice), 6 or 10 for 3D. You start the league, members score each week on their phone, they submit the week, standings update. You are not the data-entry clerk.
What you still have to do as a club admin
- Get the club approved (real address). $100 a year, or a promo code I send.
- Start the league ($20). Members do not pay that.
- Tell people which format and which face. 5-spot 300 and Vegas 10-ring are different rounds here.
- Hosted weeks require a photo on every arrow. That is the point of submitting a card other people can review.
What you do not have to do
You do not have to build a Facebook event for every week. Use the club blog for “see you Thursday, 5-spot, 20 yards.” Members see it on the club page. You do not have to take everyone’s word for a 287 with no picture.
If you just want to shoot and keep a log, skip all of this. Personal rounds stay free. The clipboard problem is a club problem.
