3D scoring: one animal at a time, 0 through 12
A 3D walk is not an indoor end. You do not shoot five, walk, score five. You shoot this animal, you call the ring, you pull, you walk to the next one. The card should follow that walk.
Org rings vs this site
ASA-style cards often use 12 / 10 / 8 / 5 / 0. IBO-style often uses 11 / 10 / 8 / 5 / 0. I am not going to pretend this site is the current year book for either group. You tap 0 through 12 for the target in front of you. If your club calls an 11, tap 11. If they call a 12, tap 12. Put “ASA 12-ring” or “IBO 11” in the round notes if you will care in March.
Target count
When you start a 3D round you set how many targets that day, up to 60. Match the course. If they hung 30, start 30. A 12-target practice loop is a 12-target round. Locked targets stay locked, so do not discover at target 18 that you meant 30.
Photos
Personal woods loop: skip the camera if you want. Hosted 3D: photograph the impact before the next animal. A 12-ring on a curved shoulder in the shade is where leagues go to die. I would rather have a slightly ugly photo than a twenty-minute argument at the last deer.
